BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROFESSION:  A Radiologist Assistant under the direct supervision of a radiologist is certified to: perform fluoroscopic procedures, assess and evaluate the physiologic and psychological responsiveness of patients undergoing radiologic procedures, and evaluate image quality, make initial image observations and communicate observations to the supervising radiologist.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF LICENSING BOARD: The Arizona Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners regulates those engaged in the practice of radiologic technology in Arizona.  The Board governs the issuance of licenses, registrations and certificates for individuals. The Board initiates investigations into complaints and self-reports concerning a radiologic technology professional’s possible non-compliance with the law, and determines and administers disciplinary actions if it is determined that Arizona law has been violated.
